Some say love it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a raiser
That leads your soul to bleed

An endless aching be
But I say love, it is a flower
And you its lonely seed

That never learns to dance

That never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken
Who can not see to give
And the soul afraid of dying
Never learns to live

And the road has been to long

Let us remember, in the winter,
Far beneath the bitter snow
